Dominican Republic President to arrive in Jamaica Monday for State Visit

President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina Sanchez, is scheduled to arrive in Jamaica on Monday for a one day State Visit.

He is slated to participate in a host of activities including a floral tribute at the National Heroes Park.

He will also have robust discussions with the government, led by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, on bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.

The meeting is aimed at forging deeper ties between both countries.

Prime Minister Holness will be presented with State Honours of the Dominican Republic by His Excellency Medina.

Danilo Medina Sánchez is Dominican Republic’s 53rd President.

He has been in office since 2012.

At the end of the State Visit, President Medina departs Kingston for Montego Bay where he will participate in the United Nations World Tourism Organization conference at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
